Airvana Highlights the Value of Femtocells at CES 2010

Chelmsford, MA, January 4, 2010 — 

Airvana, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRV), the company transforming the mobile experience, today outlined its participation in the upcoming CES 2010 event, taking place January 7-10, 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  As a member of the Femto Forum, Airvana will demonstrate the capabilities of the company’s HubBub™ CDMA and UMTS femtocells, and showcase partner units from Motorola, Pirelli and Thomson in the FemtoZone (South Hall 3, upper level, booth 31577).  Airvana Vice President of Marketing, David Nowicki will also participate in several presentations during the course of the event.

On Thursday, January 7, 2009 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in room S227, Mr. Nowicki will join members of the Femto Forum for a press conference titled: “Femtocells: The Missing Link in the Digital Home.”  The session will cover the strategies for mass-adoption of femtocell technology including standardization, technology advancements, new applications and the current state of operator roll outs.

On Friday, January 8, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. and again at 3:00 p.m. in the FemtoZone presentation theater, Mr. Nowicki will explore the roll femtocells can play in the increasing adoption of broadband services by mobile subscribers in the presentation “How Femtocells Boost Mobile Broadband.” He will also deliver the “Femtocell Business Case” in the FemtoZone Theater on Thursday January 7th at 3:30 p.m. and again on Friday January 8 at 5 p.m.
