Airvana Showcases Transformed Home Experience at Mobile World Congress
MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS 2009, Barcelona, Spain, February 10, 2009
Airvana, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRV), the company transforming the mobile experience, will showcase its UMTS HubBub femtocell at Mobile World Congress 2009 through a full working demonstration. This will include making phone calls and using data to download music, as well as showing the ‘future-looking’ applications that take advantage of the femtocell’s unique position on both mobile and home networks.
Other products being highlighted include the Universal Access Gateway (UAG), a convergence gateway for innovative FMC services, and modular femtocell technology designed to be integrated into residential gateway products. Stand visitors will also see partner devices that have Airvana’s module inside.
Co-founder and vice president, Femtocell Business and Corporate Development at Airvana, Sanjeev Verma, will also be giving a presentation on the Tuesday at the FemtoZone, a stand co-hosted by the GSMA and the Femto Forum. The presentation is entitled “Femtocells in Context” and will discuss how femtocells are driven by - and will drive - trends in mobile communications.
