Airvana to Present at Femtocells Europe 2008

Executives share their thoughts in two key sessions at Europe’s largest event dedicated to femtocells

Chelmsford, MA, June 23, 2008 —

Airvana, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRV), the company transforming the mobile experience, will be addressing an audience of leading telecoms executives in two key sessions at Femtocells Europe in London on Tuesday 24th June and Wednesday 25th June.

On Tuesday, Vedat Eyuboglu, CTO and co-founder of Airvana will assess the impact of femtocells on 3G and 4G mobile networks. The discussion will focus on how macro and femto networks will combine to provide optimal coverage and capacity whilst reducing mobile network providers’ operating and capital expenditure.  It will also cover methods and technical progress in sharing spectrum and managing interference.

The following day Sanjeev Verma, VP Business Development, Airvana will serve on a panel chaired by Mike Short of Telefonica / O2. The discussion will look at the critical components required to deliver femtocells at a sub US $99 price point, including silicon strategies, integration of femtocells within other ‘home hub’ devices, and the need to be as ‘plug and play’ as possible to minimize operational costs.
