Executives speaking at Wireless08 in London Olympia, and Converged Services Conference in Amsterdam on 22 May

Chelmsford, MA, May 21, 2008 —

Airvana, Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRV), the company transforming the mobile experience, will be discussing its vision for the strategic roll-out of femtocells in both the enterprise and consumer sectors at Wireless08 at London Olympia, and at Converged Services Conference  2008 in Amsterdam, this week.

Femtocells have attracted considerable interest for their potential to address technical and economic issues for converged services, and Airvana will be investigating the question of how best to monetise this potential at the two events as follows:

Wireless08:  Day 2, (22 May) 11.50: Andy Richardson,VP R&D for UMTS Systems will explore different approaches to femtocells for the enterprise, and discuss the pros and cons of each for enterprise mobile communications.  Dr. Richardson was a founder of 3Way Networks (now Airvana) which was formed in July 2004 with the goal of collapsing a cellular network into a single box.  Some have called him the “father of the femtocell”. Mr. Nicolaides has extensive experience in the wireless communications industry. Prior to joining Airvana, he worked within the Wireless Technology Practice of PA Consulting Group.
