Airvana shares vision for strategic roll-out of femtocells at London and Amsterdam conferences

Airvana, Inc. Wireless08: Day 2, (22 May) 11.50: Andy Richardson,VP R&D for UMTS Systems will explore different approaches to femtocells for the enterprise, and discuss the pros and cons of each for enterprise mobile communications. Dr. Richardson was a founder of 3Way Networks (now Airvana) which was formed in July 2004 with the goal of collapsing a cellular network into a single box. Converged Services Congress 2008: Day 3, (22 May) 14.15: Kimon Nicolaides, UMTS product director, will be discussing how to roll out home-zones and converged services using femtocells, as part of a panel that includes ip.access, Pirelli Broadband Solutions and Nextpoint Networks. The session will assess new service possibilities, launch strategies, price issues, and how to market femtocells. Mr. Nicolaides has extensive experience in the wireless communications industry.
