On behalf of the Femto Forum, Airvana expert to discuss how femtocells will change the fundamental architecture of the mobile network


Chelmsford, MA, September 12, 2011 – Airvana LLC, the 3G CDMA and LTE femtocell company, has announced it will be speaking at the Mobile Broadband World, taking place September 12-14, 2011 at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin, Germany. Michael McFarland, Airvana’s senior director of marketing and product management, will present the session entitled ‘The Impact of Femtocells on the Future of Mobile Broadband’ at 4:45 pm on September 13, 2011.

This session, presented on behalf of the Femto Forum, will provide an update on the overall femtocell industry and its ongoing impact on wireless networks. Mr. McFarland will also explain the different types of femtocells, technologically and in terms of a business model, and how femtos will help solve the mobile data crunch.

With over 16 years of experience in the communications industry, Mr. McFarland currently leads marketing and product management for Airvana’s CDMA and LTE femtocell solutions, and is a member of the Femto Forum Promotional Council.
